What work will I do in Germany?
Our students mostly work in the areas below. Pick an area to see example tasks.
Placement depends on your profile, language level, holiday dates and open positions. Employer, project and city are confirmed during job matching and shared with you before the work permit process. Shift, night and weekend work is possible depending on the position.
How much can you earn?
Your earnings are calculated from the gross hourly wage. We do not promise a monthly net amount, because it depends on the hours you work and the deductions.
What determines your monthly income:
- Working hours in your contract
- The hours you actually work and your shift pattern
- Overtime and extra payments, if any (depends on the company)
- Tax deductions
- Accommodation cost deducted from your salary, depending on the project
This is only hourly wage × hours × weeks. Deductions such as tax and accommodation are not included; the net amount is lower.
